24/7 Emergency
Open everyday, including public holidays, the specialist-led 24/7 Emergency department treats conditions and provides assistance when your local vet is closed. No appointments are needed an walk-ins are welcome.
SASH Western Sydney is one of only two Veterinary Trauma Centres in all of Australia. Not only is SASH Western Sydney the only specialist-led 24/7 Emergency department in the region, but it also have globally recognised capabilities to deliver an exceptional standard of care for patients suffering from physical injuries (or trauma).
Critical Care
With a purpose-built, state-of-the-art ICU, Critical Care provides Western Sydney’s only specialist level care for severely unwell or life-threatening conditions.
Internal Medicine
SASH has Western Sydney’s only 5 day per week Internal Medicine service which specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex medical conditions.
Surgery
The SASH Western Sydney Surgery department is available on-site or on-call 7 days a week. The department specialises in all types of surgeries including soft tissue, orthopaedic, oncologic and more.
Oncology
Oncology specialises in the treatment of various types of cancers. Often, multiple specialists will collaborate on cases to provide the best possible outcome for patients after a cancer diagnosis.
Ophthalmology
The only eye specialist service based in the Greater Western Sydney region. Ophthalmology specialises in all types of conditions related to eyes, including medical and surgical management.
Dermatology
SASH Western Sydney offers the only specialist Dermatology service in Western Sydney. This team specialises in treating conditions related to the skin, coat, ears, and paws.
Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation
A unique specialist service in Western Sydney, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of lameness and mobility conditions without surgery.
Diagnostic Imaging
Diagnostic Imaging specialises in the use of scanning technologies such as x-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI to help diagnose health conditions in pets. SASH Western Sydney offers the only specialist Diagnostic Imaging services in Western Sydney.
Anaesthesia
Specialist Anaesthesia aims to improve the safety and welfare of unwell patients that require medical procedures. SASH provides the only specialist level anaesthesia service in Western Sydney.

CT Scanner
The state-of-the-art CT scanner at SASH Western Sydney is used to capture detailed, 3D, diagnostic images of internal structures such as bones and organs.
MRI for animals
MRI excels at providing high quality diagnostic images for the brain, spine, and soft tissues. It is a powerful complement to other tools such as CT.
Fluoroscopy
Fluoroscopy is a more advanced form of x-ray which shows live images, instead of static/still images. E.g. like a movie instead of a photo.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy uses an underwater treadmill to provide a gentle and prescribed form of therapeutic exercise. It is ideal for recovery from certain types of surgery and in the treatment of conditions like arthritis.
