Veterinarian

Dr Charlie May graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Bachelor of Veterinary Science. Following graduation Dr Charlie worked as a veterinarian in the NSW Central West region before returning to Sydney to work at Gladesville Vet Hospital and Sylvania Vet Hospital as a veterinarian and Hospital Director.  

After graduation, Dr Charlie undertook additional study through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture. In 2020 she sat additional examinations to become a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and is now secretary of the Small Animal Veterinary Practice Chapter. 

Dr Charlie is an advocate of acupuncture, trigger point therapy and other pain management strategies to help our pets live their best life. She feels acupuncture is a wonderful way to help address pain and other conditions in senior animals.  

In her spare time Dr Charlie loves to take her dog out sailing (however he does like to try to jump into the water a lot of the time!).
