For emergencies, walk-ins are welcome 24/7, no appointment needed. Pets are triaged upon arrival to ensure the most critical cases are prioritised.
Specialist Consultations
For specialist visits, please bring relevant medical records, test results, scans, and current medications.
Our specialists will perform a detailed assessment of your pet, discuss findings and explain recommendations and care options.
During & After Your Pet’s Visit
On-site parking is available, including for after hours visits. Clear signage will guide you to reception and emergency entry points.
Before treatment begins, our team will discuss estimated costs, payment options and pet insurance. After your visit, you’ll get clear discharge instructions, when relevant, and we’ll work closely with your vet to support your pet’s care.

What qualifies as a vet emergency?
A vet emergency is any situation where your pet is suddenly ill, injured, or in distress and needing urgent care. This includes difficulty breathing, seizures, collapse, trauma, severe pain and/or bleeding, ingestion of toxins or foreign objects, and sudden changes in behaviour and mobility.
If you are unsure if your pet requires urgent veterinary care, please call us or take them to an emergency vet.
Do I need a referral to visit SASH Central Coast?
No, pets can be brought in at any time without a referral for emergency care at SASH Central Coast. For specialist appointments, a booking is required. A written referral from your regular veterinarian is preferred but not essential. We are able to request patient information from your regular vet with your consent.
What will an emergency vet cost?
Emergency vet costs will vary based on your pet’s, condition and required treatment. An estimate will be provided once a vet has conducted a thorough assessment. Diagnostics and treatments will only be performed with your consent.
What do I do if I can't afford emergency vet care?
If you can’t afford emergency vet care, SASH offers a number of third party payment options to help manage costs. If you have pet insurance, we also offer GapPay payments for eligible providers. Our teams will discuss costs and care options based on your financial situation with you so you can make informed decisions about your pet’s care.
Do you accept pet insurance or offer payment plans?
Yes, SASH accepts pet insurance and offers third party payment plans, including AfterPay, ZipPay, Zip Money, and VetPay, to help manage the cost of veterinary care.
