Specialist in Internal Medicine
Dr Amy Dixon graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2014 with distinction. Soon after graduation, she moved to the UK where she worked in a busy mixed practice on the Isle of Wight. Following time in general practice, Amy completed a rotating internship at the University of Liverpool in the UK.
In 2018, she commenced a combined residency in small animal internal medicine and Masters in Veterinary Science at the University of Bristol. Following completion of her residency in 2021, Amy returned home to Melbourne and worked in a private referral practice before joining the SASH team in March 2022.
Amy completed her European board examinations in March 2022 and was awarded the title of Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Her clinical interests include gastroenterology and immune-mediate/inflammatory diseases and has published in these areas.
Amy enjoys hiking and stand up paddle boarding in her free time.
