Boarded in Cardiology
Dr Arianne Fabella will complete her cardiology residency at the University of Georgia in the coming year and return to her roots here at SASH. Dr Fabella started her advanced clinical training at SASH as a rotating intern in 2018. After this, she pursued a specialty emergency and critical care internship at the University of California, Davis before starting a residency in Cardiology at the University of Georgia. In that time she has honed interests in congenital heart disease and the cardiology of exotic species. This has given her training in cardiac interventional procedures and exposure to a number of exotic species, including an American Black Bear! In 2023 she successfully completed all assements to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) to become one of the few veterinary Cardiologists in NSW. She looks forward to starting her post-residency career here at SASH in 2023 as part of the new cardiology unit.
Outside of work Arianne enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time walking through woodlands to explore new places.
