Sarah Curran gained her physiotherapy qualifications from The University of Sydney in 2015. Shortly after graduating she completed advanced training in Animal Physiotherapy with the Australian Physiotherapy Association and has worked with both humans and non-human animals ever since.
Sarah works collaboratively with our specialists and pet owners to create meaningful rehabilitation plans for orthopaedic and neurologic patients post-op including seeing them for rechecks and when they come in for outpatient therapy. Sarah has a keen interest in the non-pharmaceutical management of persistent and complex pain and showing how movement and exercise reduce pain in these conditions.
When Sarah is not wrangling two small humans and her rescue greyhound Lenny, she could be up a ladder, in a tree or trying to figure out how to get bats to do resistance exercises, as a WIRES volunteer bat rescuer and rehabilitator.
