Resident in Surgery
Dr Lauren McNamara graduated from a rural vet school in Queensland, before leaping into the vibrant world of SASH in 2021. She’s commenced her journey to become a specialist surgeon by completing a rotating internship, followed by a specialist internship and is currently undertaking a surgical residency. Her clinical interests include orthopaedics and fracture repairs.
Lauren has a rescue dog, Nala, who performs heroic feats by serving as a life-saving SASH blood donor. Beyond her surgical pursuits, Lauren finds joy in outdoor escapades, jogging and trail running with Nala and indulging in horse riding on weekends.
