Specialist in Internal Medicine
Dr Zandri Whitehead graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2012, receiving the Merial clinical prize for best achievement in the clinical rotations in the final year. She completed a rotating internship and small animal internal medicine residency at the University of Pretoria and became a registered specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine in South Africa in 2019. In 2021, Zandri obtained Diplomate status of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Companion Animals) in Internal Medicine. Prior to relocating to Australia, she worked in a small animal referral practice in Cape Town.
Zandri enjoys the challenge of diagnosing and managing complex medical cases. She also values providing compassionate support to pet owners during this process. Zandri has particular interest in gastroenterology, haematology, urology and feline medicine. She enjoys teaching and mentoring of graduates and interns.
Zandri lives with her husband and two very spoilt cats, Igor and Sven.
