Resident in Internal Medicine
Dr Stephanie Shield completed an undergraduate degree in Animal Science, at the University of Guelph, Canada, followed by an internship at the Vancouver Aquarium’s Marine Mammal Rescue (MMR).
Dr Stephanie graduated from the University of Sydney Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and commenced a new graduate program at the RSPCA NSW.
In 2020, Stephanie joined SASH North Ryde where she completed a rotating internship, followed by a specialty medicine internship, before commencing her residency in late 2023.
Her current area of interest and research is kidney disease in cats, with additional interests in gastroenterology and autoimmune disease.
Steph has her hands full with two adopted foster babies at home, Penelope and Hermione, and a standard poodle golden Retriever mix, Georgie, back home in Canada.
