(What does this mean?)

Dr Penny Tisdall graduated from the University of Sydney and worked in private practice in western Sydney for several years before returning to the University of Sydney to complete a Small Animal Surgical Residency. She has contributed to over 30 published papers on various aspects of surgery before moving to Adelaide in 2007. Since then, she has been offering her specialist surgery services for south Australian pets in private practice and at the University of Adelaide.

Penny has been involved in teaching undergraduate surgery at all levels in the Adelaide Doctor of Veterinary Medicine course, delivered post graduate education to vets and nurses.  She has played an active role in the Surgery Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists examination committee. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, oncologic and reconstructive surgery , neurosurgery and orthopedics . A recent professional highlight has been contributing to surgical treatment of various zoo animals including a lion, cheetah , chimp and Tamarin monkey.

Penny is the proud owner of 2 very badly behaved curly coated retrievers and 2 Devon rex cats.
