Specialist in Internal Medicine & Nephrology Fellow
Dr Lucy Kopecny graduated from the University of Sydney with first class honours and the university medal. She did a rotating internship at SASH before completing a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of California, Davis. After becoming board-certified in small animal internal medicine, she remained at UC Davis for a two-year fellowship in nephrology, interventional endourology and extracorporeal therapies. She is currently doing a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology through the University of Sydney. Her main areas of interest are in urinary medicine, including acute kidney injury, ureteral obstructions and urinary stones. She also has strong interests in extracorporeal therapies such as dialysis and therapeutic plasma exchange. She enjoys both research and teaching.
Lucy has a black and white cat called Henry who came with her when she moved back to Australia from the United States.
