Resident in Surgery
Huiyu graduated from Massey University, New Zealand, in 2018 and completed small animal rotating internships at Veterinary Specialists Aotearoa, New Zealand, and Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. She then received further training as a surgical intern at Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialist Hospital, British Columbia, and Toronto Animal Health Partners Emergency and Specialty Hospital, Ontario, Canada.
Huiyu then undertook a graduate research position at Ontario Veterinary College, where her research focus was on surgical oncology and sentinel lymph node mapping in dogs diagnosed with pulmonary adenocarcinomas.
During her free time, Huiyu loves hiking with her harness-trained rescue cats, Maple and Fern, and painting on canvas.
