Mindy graduated from Tufts University in 1994 with a degree in biology. She worked for several years as an educator in marine sciences, a marine wildlife rehabilitator, and then a science teacher in a New York City charter school. After enjoying her time with the menagerie of interesting animals these careers involved she returned to veterinary school for her graduate degree. After completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University Mindy went on to complete additional training as a veterinary intern in New York City.
Mindy worked with the ASPCA mobile service providing affordable surgical options for under-resourced communities in the New York metropolitan area. She developed a keen interest in Emergency Medicine while doing so and began working at Emergency and Critical Care hospitals in the New York area. She now has 10 years of training and experience in Emergency and Critical Care and has worked at over 7 specialty and referral veterinary hospitals.
Mindy joined the SASH team in 2015 after deciding some time in Australia would be an interesting change of pace from the USA. She is now the clinical manager for the emergency and critical care department.
Outside of work, Mindy spends her time making sure her dog, Pancake, has a lifestyle everyone envies.
