Story from #sashcancerhero: Melissa Langley: Ruby

I noticed Ruby had a lump on her eyelid that was growing fast.  I took her to the local vet, and they said it needed to be removed as it was making her eyelid droop.  They thought it was a harmless lump, but I requested it be checked.  It was sent to pathology and came back as a Meibomian gland epithelioma.  It was a malignant eyelid tumour.  Pathology said it appeared the lesion had been fully excised.  Pathology said to keep an eye on her lymph nodes.  Highlighted to me that all lumps & bumps should be checked. Whilst they may look harmless, it’s not always the case.
