Coco has had hip displasia her whole life which I have managed very well. However she has really started to get sore and I knew her only fix would be a hip replacement.

I did my research to find which I feel would be the most experienced surgeon I could to do her operation. I chose to go to SASH Sunshine Coast to see Dr Warwick Bruce. I don’t regret my decision as I can already see a difference in coco .

She is still on strict cage rest and only goes out for loo breaks . She is now putting full weight on the leg and is on no pain meds. It’s been a very scary process and I can’t wait to see how coco is after we start physio and building up her muscles. Even though coco is an older dog now I still want her to have a pain free life .
