In mid September, Millie went SASH to after losing her appetite and having a blood test at her local vets that showed some bad liver results. She was admitted to SASH North Ryde for tests and progressively went down hill. It was very distressing but the Internal Medicine Specialist, the nursing team and customer support team were amazing letting us visit, giving us updates and sending photos while she was hospitalised for nearly a week.

Millie was unfortunately diagnosed with terminal cancer – histiocytic sarcoma of the liver. While her prognosis is bad the ongoing treatment she has been receiving from Dr Veronika Langova and the wider team has been amazing and Millie is living her best life while she can.

What is a horrible and stressful situation is made easier by such an amazing team that show love and care to Millie and answer any of our questions and concerns whenever needed with patience and understanding.

While there will be many other SASH stories that are worthy of prizes I wanted to use this as an opportunity to share the gratitude for the way our pets and their owners are looked after when visiting SASH North Ryde
