Scruffy is a rescue and has had to overcome many obstacles in his life. He had his eye removed at SASH Central Coast a few years ago and recovered very well.

This year his remaining eye had a growth on the lower lid and included part of his conjunctiva. Ophthalmologist Dr Kate Hindley and Dr Lizzie successfully removed the cancerous growth.

He has had two follow-ups and there has been no evidence of reoccurance so far. Scruffy again is beating all the odds. He certainly hasmore than 9 lives!!

He will be back in 2026 with follow ups with Dr Kate, his cardiologist, and oncologist.

Thank you SASH for being part of Scruffy’s health management.
