Crosby, my 8yr old Domestic Short Hair, visited SASH North Ryde in April this year to receive radioiodine treatment for his hyperthyroidism and I cannot speak highly enough of them!
I had noticed Crosby wasn’t right and was loosing quite a lot of weight despite eating like a trooper and once he would eat, he would vomit his food up whole which was concerning. Upon running blood tests at my regular vet, we discovered Crosby had a very hyperactive thyroid and I started him on medication immediately.
Upon talking to my vet, it was brought to my attention that SASH has a radio-iodine therapy for pets with hyperthyroidism and Crosby was the perfect candidate for it!
The team at SASH North Ryde were so lovely every step of the way, and I am so grateful for all their hard work. Crosby had a repeat blood test a few weeks post treatment, and his results were perfect! Crosby is one happy boy now, living his best life with a normal thyroid thanks to the wonderful team at SASH.
