Our beloved Callie, a 6-year-old Border Collie, has always been the bright spark of our family. She was diagnosed with epilepsy in September 2022, and although her seizures were well controlled for a long time, everything changed on June 19, 2025. Over just three months, Callie suffered seven seizures, and we knew we needed specialised help.
After countless hours of searching online, I found SASH Vets and their Neurology team. The booking process was incredibly easy and the staff were warm, patient, and genuinely compassionate. So on August 28, we made the long drive from Dubbo to SASH North Ryde, hoping for answers and a plan to give Callie her life back.
From the moment we arrived, we felt supported. We were welcomed by the wonderful staff and soon met Dr Child, who truly changed our lives. Our consultation with her was everything we could have hoped for—thorough, reassuring, and filled with knowledge we had never been given before. She listened, explained, encouraged, and crafted a plan tailored specially for Callie.
Dr Child adjusted Callie’s medication, and the results have been nothing short of incredible. Callie has been completely seizure-free ever since—117 days and counting. She’s back to being her happy, energetic self, and our home feels light again.
We continue to stay in touch with Dr Child via email, and we look forward to seeing her yearly in Sydney. The ongoing support has been outstanding, and we feel like we’re part of a team that genuinely cares about Callie’s future.
I cannot thank SASH Vets and Dr Child enough for giving us hope, guidance, and our beautiful girl’s quality of life back. Callie’s journey wouldn’t be the same without them.
