Day 1 of our 2 week stay at our son’s, pup sitting their 9 month old Cavoodle Coco.
The family are ready to head off in the caravan, with the granddaughters coming back for just one more cuddle – me telling them Coco will be fine.
About 6 hours later discover she has chewed beyond repair one of my husband’s hearing aids & battery & other bits missing, did a quick search to see if we could find it but no, by this stage panic had set in & I rung SASH Gold Coast at Robina & was told to bring her over. From the moment we stepped in the door they were amazing, so kind & professional and Amber the vet was great & did x-ray which showed metal & rubber etc, she then induced vomiting as it was all still in her stomach.
By the time we got to bring her home she was good & the next day back to her normal self.
The wait while waiting to know what the result was going to be was so stressful, and when we received a message from our son checking how we had settled in, I answered “All good”. No point upsetting them until we knew how she was, but I might add we did wonder where we could relocate to if it hadn’t ended well as she is an adored member of the family.!
A very stressful time but thanks to the care Coco received the day finished well & we had a lovely Christmas with her.
