Riley had shown sign of not being well for some 12-18 months. After lots visits to our vet it was discovered that Riley had Addison’s disease. At this stage Riley was very unwell. The vet prescribed 1 tablet a day but it didn’t seem to totally fix the problem. He went back to the vet, they said they have not seen this disease before and don’t really know how to deal with it.
I went to SASH Gold Coast where Dr Lisa Singer had seen hundreds of Addison patients. She performed a blood test, confirmed Riley’s status, put a plan together and prescribed an injection every 25 days and Riley has not looked back.
