Rue is a two year old Rhodesian Ridgeback who is a blood donor at SASH Alexandria. Rue became a blood donor in 2025, and has since donated blood, while also being treated at the hospital following been knocked down.

Every experience we have had at SASH has been fantastic, we are always greeted by the friendliest staff, who explain everything to us as pawrents during that stressful time. Rue has also been very well looked after during her blood donations and is giving loads of pats and cuddles during her stay, which takes about 4-5 hours. If anyone has a dog that meets the criteria to become a blood donor, I would highly recommend reaching out to SASH to enquire!
