I had to take my beautiful cat Rory to SASH North Ryde after he become unable to walk or breathe and was vomiting. Turns out, he was on day four of having a paralysis tick and had gotten worse so quickly that we knew he needed specialist care. Handing him over was one of the hardest things I have ever done as I was unsure if he would ever be the same again.

Rory stayed at SASH for four nights, and during that time the vets and nurses were incredible. They checked in with us constantly, explained what was happening in a way we could actually understand, and always took the time to reassure us when we were scared and stressed. No question ever felt silly, and we never felt left in the dark.

Because of the care Rory received, he became stable enough to be transferred back to our local vet to continue his recovery. We’ll always be so grateful to the SASH team, not just for saving Rory, but for the kindness and compassion they showed us throughout the whole experience. We felt supported every step of the way, and that meant everything. Rory has now recovered, back to his full crazy personality all thanks to the team at SASH North Ryde.
