Our little Nara, a rare 11 month old Australian Mist kitten, suddenly lost the use of her back legs due to level 3 paralysis.

We rushed her to SASH Alexandria and after lots of blood tests, it was thought to be disease affecting her muscles & nerves.

After some very thorough testing at SASH North Ryde, we are quite confident that it is Idiopathic Polyradiculoneuritis, so with lots of love and time, she should make a full recovery and be back playing with her twin brother Sundance by early next year. My wife, myself and Nara want to thank the team at SASH for their care, diligence and answering all our questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better medical team!

We love to thank all the admin staff, nurses and specialists that took the time to make us comfortable (our first time at sash with a pet) as well as attend to Nara’s needs.

Nara’s journey to health will be posted on instagram @sundance_nara.themist
