Stephanie (top left) has been veterinary nursing for over 20 years, both at specialist and GP levels. She has a love for cats and holds the Diploma in Feline Nursing. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her 2 cats.
Neshette (top 2nd from left) has worked as a Veterinary nurse in General Practice, Specialist Hospital, and animal shelter, and has now made the move to Medical Oncology with a little encouragement by fellow Oncology Nurse, Laura. Neshette enjoys working in Oncology and loves getting to know each patient, their personalities, and their little quirks. Her goal is to always make their visits as positive and stress free as possible. Neshette has a particular soft spot for the senior and rescue pets having welcomed many into her own home over the years. At home, she currently has Phoebe, a Rottweiler x German Shepherd, and Butters her sweet DSH.
Laura (top 3rd from left) has been working as a registered Veterinary Nurse for over 15 years, working in both general practice and specialist hospitals. She has been with the SASH Oncology department since 2020. Laura is currently undertaking her UK nursing certification in anaesthesia, a subject she is passionate about. She enjoys training new nurses joining the hospital and loves the care and comfort she can give to her patients going through their cancer journey, making sure they are as comfortable and happy as possible during their time at SASH. In her spare time she surfs every chance she gets including cheeky sunrise surfs before work and loves drinking tea and reading.
Linda (top 4th from left) is the Nurse Unit Manager for the Medical Group, which includes Oncology and Radiation Therapy. She loves supporting this great team of caring people! When not at work, she is usually with her black Lab, Roy, either in the park or at the beach.
Niki (top 2nd right) has been a member of the SASH team for the past five years, she originally started in the Surgery department before joining the Oncology team. She has two boxers at home, Benny and Gus. Benny often comes in to work with Niki and Gus has been a regular blood donor at SASH, helping patients in the hospital with his life saving blood.
Liz (top right) has been vet nursing since 2013 and has always had a big love for little rescue misfits. She recently joined the oncology team and absolutely loves it—the chance to support patients and their people through such a tender and important time is something she’s really grateful for. At home, Liz is ruled by Mr Cat Stevens, her rescue cat with plenty of opinions, and until recently, our sweet Fraggle, who rocked an unforgettable underbite and a heart of gold. When she’s not in scrubs, Liz volunteers at Taronga or chases sunshine and splashy fun with her two little girls. They’re all about beach days, pool hangs, and anything with water.
Rayanne (bottom left) graduated as a veterinarian in Brazil, then moved to Australia to pursue her dreams in animal care and completed her Certificate III in Captive Animals in 2020. Always passionate about animals, Rayanne is committed to providing the best possible care with kindness and compassion, supporting pets and their families during challenging times.
Jess (bottom 2nd from left) is a lovely Trainee Nurse who works mostly with our Medical Radiation team. She has progressed impressively through her training within SASH and also works part-time in our Internal Medicine team. At home she has three rabbits, Earl Pearl and Binky, and her cat named Floki who she loves greatly.
Rebecca (bottom 3rd from left) Along with her role at SASH, Rebecca works part-time nursing in a GP clinic. Prior to starting her studies, Rebecca worked in the hospitality sector and did volunteer work at the Sydney University Veterinary Teaching Hospital and at a small animal clinic in inner Sydney. Rebecca enjoys all aspects of nursing with an affinity for anesthesia and dentistry. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys creating various gadgets with her 3D printer, illustration, video games and cafe hopping.
Aine (bottom 2nd from right) is the Medical Oncology Nurse Team Leader. She first joined the SASH team in 2015, starting in the hospital care team, then joining the Internal medicine department and becoming a Canine Blood Bank Nurse before moving into the Oncology department. She has a cavoodle named Rua who has came into work with her since he was a puppy and is known around the hospital as the Oncology mascot.
Hannah (bottom right) qualified as a veterinary nurse in the UK in 2016, then made the move to Sydney’s Northern Beaches in 2017. She has experience in emergency and critical care and internal medicine, with a keen interest in oncology. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys all things ocean–whether that be surfing, scuba diving or whale watching, and hanging out with her rescue cat Remus.
