Resident in Surgery
James graduated from the University of Sydney in 2012. Since that time, he has worked in small animal practice and preclinical research, with a particular focus on surgery. Following 4 years in general practice, James completed a rotating internship (University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney, 2017), and speciality surgical internship (Murdoch University, 2019). He has also been a surgeon and research fellow at the Surgical and Orthopaedic Research Laboratories (SORL), UNSW, Sydney since 2018. James has published in both veterinary and human peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at national and international conferences.
James is enthused by all aspects of small animal surgery, particularly soft tissue and neurosurgery. Outside of work, James is into all sports, particularly cricket, golf and surfing, and enjoys socialising with friends and family. There are no pets in the household but a Burmese cat is inevitable!
