Dr Sophia Morse

Dr Sophia graduated from the University of Sydney in 2013 with first class honours and the University Medal. She started work as a small animal veterinarian in Western Sydney. In 2017 she completed a rotating internship at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney before going on to do a residency in Emergency and Critical Care medicine. While working at the University of Sydney, Dr Sophia attained Membership of the Emergency and Critical Care chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science and completed a master’s degree by research investigating feline blood banking. Dr Sophia became a Diplomate of the American College of Emergency and Critical Care in 2021.

Dr Sophia enjoys teaching and also works as a tutor for the Centre for Veterinary Education. Dr Sophia’s areas of interest include shock, sepsis and transfusion medicine.

Outside of work Dr Sophia enjoy spending time with her family and she owned a very mischievous, overfed little cat called Omar.
