Dr Shaun graduated from The University of Queensland with first class honor before completing an anaesthesia internship at The University of Sydney. He then spent two years in private general practice in north-western Sydney, gaining valuable experience in patient care, before returning to the University of Queensland to undertake a combined ANZCVS residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Alongside this, he completed a doctorate (DVClinSci) with a thesis focused on traumatic haemorrhagic shock. Dr Shaun has particular expertise in interventional cardiothoracic procedures and the management of patients suffering major trauma.
Outside of work, Dr Shaun enjoys an active lifestyle, especially playing water polo, hiking, and trail riding. At home, he shares his life with a lively golden retriever named Sunny, three cats — Remifentanil, Feila, and Jerry — and four much-loved horses, Roxanne, Tiger, Archie, and Charlie.
