Resident in Surgery
Marina graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2016, and spent 5years in mixed animal practice between South Africa, Cairns, and the Adelaide Hills where she developed her love for surgery.
She completed a rotating and surgical internship at SASH Adelaide from 2022-2023, and commenced her surgical residency training program in 2024.
Marina’s research focus has been on Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome affecting French Bulldogs, and alternative surgical options when addressing elbow incongruence related pathologies in dogs.
Although Marina enjoys all aspects of surgery, she thoroughly enjoys the challenge of orthopedic surgery, and has a keen interest in joint surgery and fracture repair.
In her free time, Marina enjoys outdoor activities like rock climbing, mountain biking and scuba diving.
