Resident in Neurology
Dr Laura McLeay grew up in Adelaide, where she completed her Bachelor of Animal Science. She moved to sunny Perth to study Veterinary Science at Murdoch University, where she graduated in 2017.
Laura returned to Adelaide to work in a busy general practice for a year, before completing a surgical internship at a referral hospital in Brisbane. There, she developed an interest in neurology and decided to join SASH to pursue specialty training. Laura’s professional interests are in neurosurgery and diagnostic imaging.
Dr Laura loves outdoor activities, including hiking, rock climbing, horse riding, and exploring remote beaches. She has a very friendly Bredli python named Sinbad and brown and white border collie named Salty whom can be found in the office, getting endless pats and belly rubs.
