Dr James graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc). He has since built broad experience across mixed general practice, emergency medicine and zoological work, from anaesthetising lions and giraffes to keeping his cool when a black rhino charged. Coming from a family of animal health professionals, he grew up learning equine care and farriery. With a passion for internal medicine, Dr James is drawn to complex diagnostic puzzles and brings a calm, evidence based approach to every case.
Outside the clinic, Dr James enjoys alpine and water skiing, sailing and competitive go kart racing. He balances adventure with quality time spent with his family and his much loved pet, Harry.
