Resident in Internal Medicine
Dr Hayley Hooper graduated from the University of Sydney in 2017 and worked in general practice in the Upper Hunter region.
After a period of wildlife work in Malawi and South Africa, she joined the SASH team in 2020 and completed a rotating internship, followed by an oncology and internal medicine internship. During this time she attained her Memberships with the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine. Hayley then started her internal medicine residency in 2023.
Dr Hayley enjoys all areas of internal medicine with particular interest in kidney disease and autoimmune disease. Her current area of research is chronic kidney disease in cats.
She is always kept busy by her cheeky rescue Jack Russell mix breed pup, Chippy.
