Dr Grace Thurtell

Resident in Behaviour Medicine

Qualifications: BVSc MANZCVS(Veterinary Behaviour)

Dr Grace Thurtell graduated from the University of Sydney, and practiced as a GP in Penrith before starting a veterinary behaviour internship with Dr Kersti Seksel, NSW’s only Specialist is Veterinary Behaviour Medicine. Dr Grace then commenced her residency in veterinary behaviour medicine in 2018. During this time, Dr Grace has acquired her memberships in the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Veterinary Behaviour, seen over 400 patients, attended monthly journal club, attended conferences and provided training to other veterinarians and students.

Although Dr Grace enjoys all aspects of veterinary behaviour, she particularly enjoys meeting new clients and patients and watching their progress from the initial appointment – where both clients and patients are struggling – to seeing the client’s happiness and relief when their pet progresses well along their treatment plan and a much happier patient.

In her spare time, Grace likes to spend time with her wonderful friends and family and most importantly her immediate family – husband Vaughan, her human baby, Myles, and Eddie the toy poodle.
