Dr Daniel McDonald graduated from James Cook University in 2013 and spent five years working in general practice before pursuing his passion for surgery. In 2018, he was awarded Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Surgery. An accomplished arthroscopist – a minimally invasive joint surgery technique – Dr Daniel trained under the mentorship of Dr Warrick Bruce. His particular interests lie in orthopaedics and laparoscopic surgery, where he is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients.
A long-time Sunshine Coast local, having grown up in the Glasshouse Mountains, Dr Daniel has always been surrounded by animals and developed an early love for veterinary medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active with cricket, touch football, running, and mountain climbing. He also has a special fondness for Boxers, a breed that holds a unique place in his heart.
