Dr César Gomes graduated as a veterinary surgeon from ICBAS University in Porto, Portugal, in 2012. After moving to the UK in 2013, he worked in general practice before completing internships in Cambridge and at Anderson Abercromby Referrals, where his passion for orthopaedic surgery truly took shape.
He went on to complete a three-year residency at the University of Cambridge, becoming a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS).
He has a special interest in joint surgery/replacement, minimal invasive surgery and trauma cases.
Dr César has published research in leading journals and regularly lectures at veterinary conferences. He loves seeing his patients return home happy and healthy after orthopaedic treatment.
Outside work he enjoys spending time with his two children and partner, as well as swimming, cooking and hiking.
