Dr Bethany Fackler graduated from Mississippi State University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She went on to complete a residency in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia at the University of Florida, earning board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (DACVAA). Further expanding her integrative approach to care, Dr Bethany is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) through The Chi Institute. Currently, she is pursuing additional certification in geriatric medicine and working toward becoming a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP) through the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.
Dr Bethany’s clinical interests include critical care patient anesthesia, locoregional anesthesia techniques, chronic pain management (especially in senior animals), and veterinary nurse education.
Outside of the hospital Bethany shares life with Ludo, a curious 7-year-old standard poodle who enjoys neighbourhood “sniffaris” and finding snacks from those willing to share. Bethany is also an avid scuba diver with advanced certifications in multiple specialties, a passionate traveller (especially to diving destinations), a vintage treasure hunter, and a collector of rare and unusual plants.
