Dr Alex Kennedy graduated from Sydney University in 2017 and initially worked in general practice in the Hunter region before commencing a rotating internship at SASH in 2019. During this internship Alex undertook a research project evaluating risk factors for feline ureteral obstruction.
She then commenced a specialty internship in internal medicine during which she attained her Memberships with the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Small Animal Medicine. Alex then completed an ACVIM residency program for three years, before becoming a registered Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2025.
Dr Alex enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, but is particularly interested in interventional procedures.
She has a cheeky DMH adopted from her first job called Theo.
