Boarded in Emergency & Critical Care
Upon graduation from the University of Sydney in 2004, Adelina started working as a small animal veterinarian down the south coast of NSW.
A few years later, she took up a rotating internship position at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital, UVTHS, and it was during this time she developed a passion and interest in emergency and critical care medicine.
On completion of her internship, she remained at UVTHS as an Emergency Registrar and also became a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientist in Emergency and Critical Care.
She later had the opportunity to undertake and complete a residency program of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Melbourne, UVET, and obtain a Masters degree in Veterinary Studies. Returning back to Sydney now, she is excited to join the team at SASH.
While Adelina enjoys looking after all patients with critical care needs in the ICU, she has a special interest in intravenous fluid therapy and coagulation disorders.
