We rescued Scruffy from the street. He had been neglected. He’d been living it rough on the streets. After a period of time we had noticed a sore on his head that wouldn’t heal. We were referred to SASH and were very lucky to have Dr Katy Townend. She assessed him and gave us options on what turned out to be a Bowen’s carcinoma. Even though we had to remove his eye, Dr Katy did some “cosmetic ” surgery and repositioned the black patch on his head to cover his removed eye. Scruffy was at SASH for almost a week. We can’t think the team at SASH enough. We now have our own little pirate ☠️.
