Seeing you quickly, and getting your pet into theatre, is our priority, so we’re available at short-notice with seamless continuity of care around the clock.

Patient first, always

Your family members are our patients, and they’re our first priority. We provide round-the-clock care and are always contactable, as you would expect for any other member of your family. SASH Hospitals are owned and led by the veterinarians, including specialist surgeons, who refuse to compromise on this standard of care.

Our team speak your language

You’ll develop a direct relationship with our trusted Surgery team, from the initial consultation and hospital admission through to discharge and rechecks. We also work closely with your regular veterinarian to ensure your pet is best cared for when they return home. Our fixed price packages (page 15) demonstrate our commitment to transparent communication. Our Client Services team are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to support you when you need them.

Trusted, pioneering surgeons

Not all specialist surgeons are equal. Our orthopaedic leaders contribute to the global knowledge base, educate veterinarians nationally, and mentor the specialised orthopaedic teams of the future.

The largest team, working together

Our 20 specialist surgeons and registrars are the largest team of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, performing over 4000 surgeries annually. We collaborate on each case to ensure that every patient benefits from this collective expertise and experience. This approach also guarantees continuity-of-care for our patients, at all stages of their care.

Surgery is more than a surgeon

With Australia’s broadest range of specialists, including anaesthetists, radiologists, and thirteen other disciplines, we work together to ensure your pet receives the right care from the right expert. Combined with world-class medical technology, rarely found elsewhere in Australia, we can ensure a level of quality that is unique to SASH.

Sports medicine and rehabilitation specialists prescribe a range of services including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture and therapeutic laser treatments. Why? Because rehab has been shown to optimise outcomes after orthopaedic surgeries.
