Yvonne graduated from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands in 2000. After graduation she worked at a volunteer project in Turkey desexing stray dogs and cats for a few weeks before moving to England. She worked in England as a locum for 3 years in several small animal practices.
In 2003 she passed the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination. Following this she pursued her dream to live in Australia and arrived here in 2004. She worked as a Small Animal veterinarian in the Blue Mountains for 3 years.
Yvonne developed a passion for Emergency and Critical care and accepted a position as an Emergency veterinarian at the Veterinary Specialist Centre in 2007. Continuing her ongoing education she passed the examination in Emergency and Critical care of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary scientist in 2009.
Yvonne joined the SASH team in 2009 where she now works as a Senior Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian.
Yvonne and her husband live in the Blue Mountains and enjoy the outdoor life style. She loves bush walking, canyoning, mountain biking and swimming. She has 2 gorgeous cats, 4 chickens and 1 noisy rooster.
