Specialist in Dermatology
Dr Linda Vogelnest graduated from the University of Sydney in 1984, and worked in private and university small animal practice in Australia and UK for over 10 years before following a long-time interest in Dermatology. Linda achieved Membership of Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Feline Medicine in 1997, and undertook a Dermatology Residency Program in Sydney and Melbourne from 1997-2001. Linda achieved Fellowship of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Dermatology in 2003.
Linda has worked in dermatology referral practice in Sydney for over 10 years. Her special interests include allergies, where the focus is on accurate diagnosis and individualised patient care, pyoderma and skin cytology sampling, otitis (ear infections), and skin histopathology.
One of Linda’s passions is also teaching dermatology; at undergraduate, post-graduate, and general vet practice levels, and she has made numerous presentations to general practitioners and at dermatology meetings in Australia and internationally.
Linda has a menagerie of rescued pets at home, including greyhound Zephyr, mastiff-cross Nala, and two cats Molly and Pixel; and enjoys nature and time outdoors, cooking (and eating!), travel, and good times with family and friends.
